Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Hire in Herne Bay

A wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) is adapted with a ramp or lift and lowered floor so a passenger can travel while seated in their wheelchair. Hiring one gives you all the benefits of an adapted vehicle without the cost of buying — ideal for holidays, appointments, or trying before you buy.

Our minimum hire period is 3 days, and you can book up to 90 days in a single hire.

Both. We deliver and collect across the whole of Kent — Canterbury, Whitstable, Margate, Maidstone, Dover, Folkestone and beyond — or you can collect from our Herne Bay base, where you're welcome to leave your own car with us for the duration of your hire.

Hire is available VAT exempt for qualifying domestic or personal users. VAT is chargeable at the standard rate to any business user, regardless of who uses the vehicle or its adaptations. All hire fees quoted by us exclude VAT — we'll guide you through a simple eligibility declaration when you book.

Fully comprehensive insurance for approved drivers is included in every hire. An insurance excess applies in the event of damage — the amount is confirmed on your hire agreement — and an optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available to reduce the excess for extra peace of mind.

Every hire includes a mileage allowance of 100 miles per day. If you exceed it, excess mileage is charged per mile at the rate shown on your hire agreement — so there are never any surprises.

Breakdown cover is included with every hire at no extra cost. One call and recovery is on its way — and if the vehicle can't be fixed quickly, we'll work to get a replacement to you so your plans aren't ruined.
